Dr. H. Bhojraj received the degree of Doctor of Medicine (Acupuncture) by the Open International University of Complementary  Medicines through its Medicina Alternativa Institute, Sri Lanka in the year 2000. 

Born on August 21 1949, he studied at Madurai University and passed out with Honors in Mechanical Engineering in 1971. He joined ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) as an engineer in 1972.

He received a Distinguished Award for fabrication of India’s first satellite Aryabhatta in 1975. He has won the NRDC- National Research and Development Committee award twice-first in 1990 for indigenous development of Optical Solar Reflectors and for a second time in 1999 for indigenous development of flexible heaters for satellite thermal control.

As a scientist, his current areas of research interest include Cryogenic Dewars, Metal Finishing and Thin Film coating.

He is trained in Yoga, Pranic Healing, Reiki, Reflexology, Acupressure, Classical Acupuncture and Su- Jok Acpuncture. With courses on Pranayama and Meditation techniques for general public since 1982, he has contributed to Yoga Therapy research as an Instructor at Vivekananda Kendra yoga institute, Bangalore.

He combined his knowledge of Acupressure along with several other drugless therapies and developed a package for training. His first book “Acupressure and Fitness” first published in 1995 has gone into second edition and three reprints and has reached thousands of households in India. His second book-an international edition of “Acupressure- a Drugless path to good Health” was published in 2001. In 2004 he released his third book called “Walking for Health and Fitness”.

For his efforts and research in alternative medicine, he was awarded a Gold Medal at an International Conference of Alternative Medicines held in Bangalore in 1999.

Committed to social causes, he is actively involved in a campaign of health for all. Apart from treating a number of patients for various ailments, he has also trained thousands of people in Acupressure and Acupuncture. His research on Acupressure for various ailments is being published every month in the newsletter published by Acupressure Club.

He has been interviewed by national television in India several times in a special slot for rural health and has been well received by the rural masses. A special programme for women has also aired his interview on Acupressure for common ailments. He has been training enthusiasts in Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation since 1982. He also conducts short term and advanced courses in Acupressure in Bangalore and other cities in India.
